Total Time: 45 minutes This is my family's favorite dish. And it got its special name Eddie, because - well - spaghetti bolognese is my husband Eddie's absolute favorite food. I had to PERFECT this recipe to win over his heart, which I eventually did :) One of the more easier recipes for a weekend night dinner. I use Turkey, Pork or Red Hamburger Meat for this dish. All go great with the sauce!
Heat a large skillet on HIGH adding the garlic, red pepper flakes and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Cook for 3 mins and then add the meat. Break up the meat and cook until browned. Add the can of crushed tomatos with the skillet still on high. Add the basil, sugar and salt. Turn it down to simmer and let it simmer for 30 minutes. Stirring occasionally. In the meantime, boil a pot of water for pasta. My favorite gluten free pasta is Tinkyada white rice pasta spaghetti style. Use whatever pasta you like and follow directions. Once pasta is done, turn down sauce and add the butter and cheese. I usually pour the sauce in the pasta pan and mix together. Serve with parmesan and chili flakes on top with a side of kale caesar salad and a nice bottle of pinot noir. #GringaApproved
